ABOUT HOOPS
Founded in 2003 as a youth outreach ministry in College Park, GA the HOOPS Youth Project is a non-profit 5013c dedicated to enriching the lives of our young people. Each year, we sponsor a free project and other events for boys and girls ages 6-18. The project is designed to motivate and inspire our young people to reach their highest potential in basketball, academics, and social skills. Our goal is to educate youth (ages 6 – 18) in 3 main areas. The basketball component will consist of discussions and hands-on training by skilled players and coaches, including professional athletes. The academic component will consist of a variety of question-answer sessions highlighting how best to prepare for the rigors of middle- high school and/or college. The social skills component will focus on teen relationship responsibility/social responsibility.
OUR MISSION
Is to help young people build character and provide them with the necessary tools to become productive and successful citizens in life while teaching them to stand on biblical principles for guidance and direction.
